The courses Swedish for Academics are basic courses designed to give non-Nordic employees basic skills in the Swedish language, and knowledge of Swedish culture and Swedish society. The courses are given as contract courses for employees at Uppsala University and will provide a basis for further studies in the Swedish language.
All four courses involve a systematic review of the grammatical structure and basic vocabulary of the Swedish language, continuous training in reading comprehension and oral and written proficiency.
Applicants with previous knowledge in Swedish can write a diagnostic test to be placed at a suitable level. Please note, beginners or applicants who have already passed Swedish for Academics levels 1, 2 or 3 and wish to continue studying Swedish DO NOT NEED to take the diagnostic test.
